As the year draws to an end, at GR Production Services we've taken some time to reflect on the year that was.

And just like that, Movember is done! During the month of November, our aim was to raise awareness about men's health issues - specifically men's mental health, prostate cancer and testicular cancer.

QPM Energy and GR Production Services have just hit a few big milestones at the Moranbah Gas Project in Central Queensland.

The 2024 Australian Energy Producers Conference (20 - 23 May 2024) is the flagship annual gathering for the oil and gas industry with Australian and global leaders of the industry gathering to focus and discuss important issues.  Under the theme, ‘Delivering the new energy economy’, key figures across industry, government and energy users and geopolitics came together to advance the sector’s central role in establishing the ‘new normal’ aligned with net zero, sharing experiences and insights on the major challenges and opportunities for the industry.  Our National HSSEQ Manager Greg Chrisfield was privileged to present his session 'Transitioning a hydrogen facility from project to operations'.

GR Production Services proudly supporting QPM Energy's Moranbah Gas Project.

We are delighted to announce Upstream Production Solutions has been awarded a 5-year contract with an option for a further 5 years to provide operations and maintenance (O&M) services for the Moranbah Gas Plant (MGP) and associated assets which is in the process of being acquired by Queensland Pacific Metals subsidiary QPM Energy Pty Ltd.
 
As the regulated MGP operator, Upstream PS will provide ongoing O&M services from the wellhead through to the export pipeline (including all surface facilities O&M) and associated brownfields projects.
 
Commenting on the award of the contract, Upstream PS CEO, Cameron Wills, stated that:
 
“Upstream PS is proud to be working with QPM Energy on a project aimed at preventing emissions by harvesting waste gas from operational coal mines. This approach aligns with the growing global focus on reducing greenhouse gas emissions and promoting sustainable energy practices.”

Shout out to our Upstream PS Senex Energy project team who have successfully completed the recent transfer pipeline installation in the Surat Basin region. The project was completed ahead of time and on budget in compliance with the APGA Code of Practice Requirements.

Upstream PS has successfully managed the drilling of a new appraisal well at CO2CRC’s innovative Otway Research Facility in South West Victoria.  It is CO2CRC’s largest emissions research program and the first stage of a $50 million carbon capture and storage (CCS) project.

Upstream PS and CO2CRC will be sharing insights from the innovative Otway Project, Australia’s first demonstration of carbon capture and storage, during the 2017 APPEA Conference in Perth, 14-17 May.
