Indigenous Participation

Acknowledgement of Country

GR Production Services (GRPS) acknowledges and honours the Traditional Custodians of the land on which we work and live and recognises the rich indigenous history of this country.  We pay our respects to Elders both past, present and emerging and extend that respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.

GRPS is committed to building strong relationships within the Indigenous communities in which we operate and have developed our Indigenous Participation Plan based on the three pillars of reconciliation - Relationships, Respect and Opportunities.

Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP)

As a company, GRPS has always strongly believed reconciliation is the right way forward and we show this through our actions. We participate in an Indigenous affiliated apprenticeship scheme, implement Cultural Awareness Training as part of our induction, share cultural information with employees and engage with Indigenous-owned suppliers.

Our Reflect RAP is a formal commitment by GRPS to reconciliation and details all the actions we will take to make reconciliation meaningful in our business.  To steer our RAP journey, we have representatives from different business units forming our RAP committee with their experience and passion ensuring we are always working towards our RAP goals. You can read our RAP here.

GRPS' Indigenous Heritage and Affairs Policy details our commitment to the principles of respecting and valuing the traditional rights and cultural heritage of indigenous people and indigenous sites and educating our personnel on indigenous heritage sites through site specific inductions.

The policy details our commitment to growing strong relationships and opportunities through:

  • Contributing to the development of Indigenous communities through the promotion of employment, career development and commercial opportunities.
  • Fostering the potential for development of sustainable relationships between Indigenous communities and GRPS.
  • Supporting culturally appropriate learning and development programs and adhering to cultural protocols for indigenous people.
  • Communicating the principles and objectives of our policies to all employees, contractors, visitors and interested parties.
