Condition monitoring and life extension excellence with Upstream PS, a proud Sponsor of APPEA 2016

Latest News

Upstream PS will be sharing techniques for delivering robust condition monitoring and preventative maintenance programs during the 2016 APPEA Conference, 5-8 June in Brisbane.

We are pleased to announce Upstream PS is also a proud Sponsor of the conference.

In his paper, “Condition monitoring for the safe operation and life extension of offshore cranes” Julio De Melo, Upstream PS Maintenance Manager WA/NT discusses the techniques that can be employed to avoid catastrophic failures and reduce maintenance and replacement costs.

“When correctly implemented, slew bearing and pedestal structure condition monitoring can provide early warning of failure, reduce the risk of accidents and significantly extend the life of a crane,” said Julio De Melo.

Julio has more than 30 years’ experience in the oil and gas and marine industries. He leads Upstream PS maintenance engineering and asset integrity programs in WA/NT for onshore and offshore assets.
