Upstream PS shares LNG supply chain insights at AOG

Latest News

Upstream Production Solutions’ Colby Hauser will discuss the upstream supply chains of CSG-LNG and conventional LNG at the Australian Oil and Gas (AOG) 2016 conference in Perth.

Colby Hauser compares the mature, remote, highly specialised conventional offshore supply chain with its high barriers to entry versus the onshore unconventional supply chain, featuring lower barriers to entry, less specialised trades, good opportunities for multi-skilling, larger quantity of processing and treatment facilities and a heavy dependence on local communities, often spanning several thousand kilometres.

“Supply chains are in jeopardy unless contractors add increasing value to operators through agility, innovation and collaboration,” observes Colby Hauser.

Colby Hauser has worked in the oil and gas industry for the past 10 years, primarily in business development, contracts and procurement roles. He has a deep understanding of contracting and commercial requirements of all parties engaged in the oil and gas industry. He holds a degree in International Business and Supply Chain Management and is a Certified Procurement Professional, with full MCIPS membership status with the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply Australia. He is currently completing his MBA at the University of Western Australia.
