QPM Energy (QPME) Operations

Scope of Work

QPM Energy (QPME) acquired the Moranbah Gas Project (MGP) from Arrow Energy and their JV Partners. The project currently exports gas to Dyno Nobel’s ammonium nitrate production facility in Moranbah, the Moranbah Power Station and to the Townsville Power Station via the North Queensland Gas Pipeline.

At the time of asset handover from Arrow Energy to QPME (August 2023), the MGP was operating at 33% capacity of nameplate capacity (65 TJ/d) with QPME planning to increase production to nameplate over the coming years.

ADDED VALUE

Since October 2023, GRPS has made significant strides as Operator of the MGP facility, notably increasing gas production by 25% and expanding operational wells by 10%. Our "one team" approach has maximised efficiency, with compression reliability consistently exceeding 95% equipment availability. Projects aimed at optimising well performance have further boosted production. Our robust reporting culture empowers proactive safety measures, while training ensures staff proficiency and workplace safety.

The site team consists of approximately 30-40 resources, supported by an Operations Management/Support team of 5-6 individuals based in Brisbane.
